I am, therefore I must.

I am a lot of things to a lot of people.  One word titles, monikers, nicknames, and associations all give some view of who I may be.  However, those don't describe what I am.  I am an encourager.  Even on my darkest days I seek the light and the joy in the situation.   It's what and who I am.  My wish for you is that you find that speck of light that brings you joy.  There is no darkness, only the absence of light.  Be the light for others.

Prepare for impact

Since the inception of social media, networking sites, blogs, podcasts and apps, people have been supplying their own bits of wisdom and insight.  In today's world, the impact is generally immediate.

I think we all get a bit of satisfaction if we find out that our words of wisdom or humor has made a positive influence on someone.  We also need to consider that whatever is posted in the e-world, has the capability of having a positive impact years from now.  It is also quite possible that the posting can have an impact long after we depart this life.  Much like books from days gone by and the impact they can still have. 

I think the burning question is this...Are you okay with making a positive impact on a life and never knowing of it?

Money isn't real

Of course it's tangible and we place a value on it.  Yet to me, it is just an idea.  I say that because the value that is put on one US Dollar has different value depending on a lot of socioeconomic settings.

One US Dollar to millionaires has less value that someone that is homeless, jobless and hungry.  You see, a dollar can just be a dollar, or it can be a lifeline.  If you're reading this, I can venture a guess that you wouldn't miss just one dollar.  If that's the case, I challenge you to give one away today. 

One may think that it's just a dollar, what good can it do?  It's not just your dollar, it's a dollar from hundreds, or even thousands, where the impact is truly seen. 

Please, give a dollar to charity today.

Salt, Pepper & Smoked Paprika

No matter what season in life you are experiencing, you are there for purpose.  As for me, my previously salt and pepper hair is nearly all salt and I find myself more relaxed in life and eager for each day.  I know that each day I will encounter someone that needs a smile or a kind word, or it can be the person I encounter lifts me up.  My calling in life is not affected by my occupation nor my station.  It is in those occupations and different seasons where I must put my calling in action.  Take some time today to find your calling and use it wherever you are.

This just in!

We get the opportunity everyday for a fresh start, a new attitude, a chance to do good.  We also have the grace daily to be forgiven and to forgive.  I know a few people that have held on to hurts they experienced years and years ago and still hold a grudge, or anger, or sorrow.  If you think that forgiving someone lets them off the hook, you're incorrect.  It lets YOU of the hook.  Forgive that person and wriggle free of the hook that has held you for so long.  

The real reason why

Romans 13:8  Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.

Isn't this a big WHY of what we do each day in our live?  We love people, we want to see them succeed, we cry with each other, laugh with each other, and, using a very powerful statement that I heard....we are passionate for one another. 

For each of you that reads this, I will suffer with you. 

I am honored, blessed, and humbled, for those in my life, and for those in the past, and for those yet to come.  I strive daily to be a blessing.

I need an engineer

Many times I've had conversations with people that could not see themselves as I see them.  Quite frankly, that situation has been in reverse, when I look in a mirror, I don't see what you see.  So here's the plan:

I want create a mirror that reflects the beauty, passion, love, joy, drive and light that I see in you, so you can see it and believe it as much as I do.

I think I'll call it the Innate Super Eye Electrical Mirror Enhancer (I SEE ME)

I think we all need to see us as others see us.
